I had the Mass at the Bridgettine Sisters at 7:00, Fr. Roberto at the Charity Sisters at 6:30 and Fr. Sebastian at Abu Dis at 9:00. The Comboni Sisters were celebrating the death anniversary of their founder St. Daniel Comboni, so we had Mass with a Comboni priest, Fr. Daniel, at 8:00 am in their chapel. After the Mass, I felt very cold and weak, because I didn’t have breakfast. That was hypo, I thought. Once at home, I immediately took cereals and warm milk and rested for a while. We had a hearty lunch with the Comboni Sisters and I recovered. I thought that was high blood and I was worried. The rest of the day, I was alright. We started our Novena Prayers for St. Paul of the Cross and used the formula Fr. Roberto found in the library. It was very good, inserting the Novena with the Vespers. At supper, our temporary cook, Ludha, prepared food good for six people. Only Fr. Roberto and I ate because Fr. Sebastian left earlier this afternoon for a touring guide mission of Pilgrims from Poland. It was mostly Pasta and salad for there was nothing much left in the ice box. At least, we were complete during the prayers because somebody else cooked in the absence of Ahmad.

I had Mass with the Bridgettine Sisters with the former Patriarch, Michael Sabbah and five Sisters. Fr. Roberto took the Charity Sisters and Abu Dis. After the Mass, Sr. Sarah, an Indian Bridgettine Sister, bid goodbye to me, because she would be transferred to Bethlehem. She was the one who always entertained me because she spoke good English and I told her I surely would miss her. I watered our plants for almost two hours and at Mid Day I was alone. Fr. Roberto went shopping with the temporary cook and arrived at the fourth Mystery of our Rosary. Since she was late, our cook heated the food we had last night and we had a recycled or slightly modified lunch. Hannah also came in the morning and repaired the electrical in the chapel, he promised to do earlier. He left at 11:00. In the afternoon I worked in my journal and mail until praying time. I was alone in the first part of prayers in the Office of the Reading for Fr. Roberto attended the final profession of vows of the Franciscans in San Salvador Church. He arrived at 7:00 pm, in time for the Novena of St. Paul of the Cross and Vespers. We had again a recycled supper heating what the temporary cook prepared and what was left in the ice box. After Compline, I slept right away.
